In the United States attorneys battle every day for victims and to secure their rights. In todays society laws are being implemented every day to ensure that we help victims of crimes. The court system tries to look out for individuals that have been victimized. There are many individuals that advocate for victims rights, which state that the criminal justice systems interplays between the state and the defendant. The victims existence in the court is downplayed and the focus is mostly on the defendant and the outcome of the case. This right sometimes is violated and it makes the individuals feel that they are not being treated fairly. There are many states in the United States that have passed laws and have created constitutional amendments to ensure the protection of the victims rights. Victims try to assert their rights in courts and have been turn down and not allowed to enhance their rights. Is there ever a circumstance in which you feel vengeance is appropriate, even when it means breaking a law? Vengeance can be done in many ways and sometimes breaking the law is necessary. Martin Luther King stated ââ¬Å" The only way to get a law to change is to break that law in massâ⬠. When doing so, this becomes the quickest and most efficient method to use to make a point. When the vengeance is of personal nature it gets complicated. The only law that and individual should consider not to break is homicide. There are still some crimes that in my opinion may cause any mother or father to think twice about homicide. Vengeance most of the time will not change the situation, but will benefit the victims in a small way. Do you agree with the actions of Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP)? I think that the organization is a wonderful avenue for individuals that have been abuse by priests (Snap,N/A). It provides them with resources on how to deal with the abuse and how to fight against the abuser. They help them to get legal action against the priest and their church of origin.
